Corrine started Emberly Chimney Cleaners in 2009 after watching too many Norristown homeowners get quoted mystery prices by techs who wouldn’t show them the inside of their own flue. She’s the one who wrote the Haven Standard’s Clause 1 - the written price before work starts rule - and she’s still the one who reviews every photo record before it goes to the customer. Corrine holds NFPA 211 Level 2 certification and personally trains every technician on camera-scan protocol. She lives in East Norriton with two rescue dogs who have zero respect for her authority.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been running chimney sweeps in Montgomery County for twelve years, and he’s the tech Corrine sends when a homeowner in West Norriton calls about a “weird smell” nobody else can diagnose. He’s certified in HeatShield cerfractory flue repair and carries a borescope that records in 1080p - he once found a cracked flue liner in a 1920s Ardmore colonial that three other companies had missed. Marcus is the guy who’ll tell you your Class III glazed creosote is a real fire hazard, then show you the photo so you see exactly what he means. He coaches youth basketball in his off-hours and has never once been on time to his own dinner.

Elena joined us in 2023 after four years in HVAC duct cleaning - she already knew how to work in tight spaces and talk to homeowners while she’s doing it. She’s completing her CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep credential and has passed the NFPA 211 Level 2 exam under Corrine’s supervision. Elena specializes in fireplace services: damper adjustments, smoke chamber parging, and figuring out why a vented gas insert in a Plymouth Meeting condo won’t stay lit. She’s the one who asks the questions the senior techs stopped asking years ago, which sometimes saves us all from an assumption. Elena lives in Norristown proper and bikes to jobs when weather permits, which her truck partner finds either admirable or annoying depending on the hill.
